Timeline Films is a Scottish based independent media company producing quality factual television.

From long running series that celebrate the history and landscape of Scotland, to one-off films exploring the belief that the ancient Maya of Central America predicted the world will end in December 2012, Timeline produces diverse content that surprises and delights viewers with its superb production values and strong storytelling.

The company's "Grand Tours of Scotland" brand, presented by film-maker and historian Paul Murton, is now in its 3 series and has proved to be a major success for both BBC Scotland and BBC Network. On BBC Scotland the series has regularly achieved a 20-30% audience share and on BBC4 it attracted more than twice the average viewing figures for its slot.

Timeline’s first film for Channel 4, "The Mayan Apocalypse 2012" – also presented by Paul Murton – pulled in excellent ratings on its first transmission on More4 in January and is expected to be repeated on Channel 4 later this year.
